How long does it take to create a custom dental website design?

At Digimax, crafting a unique, impactful, and custom dental website design typically takes 3 to 6 months* to complete. We don’t use templates—just a beautifully tailored website built with our extensive design and marketing expertise.

For a new squat practice, the process may take longer due to additional discovery work. Likewise, coding a website for a practice with multiple locations can extend the timeline.

*Completing the project in 3 months is possible if feedback and approvals are provided promptly.

What is your design guarantee / Can I request design changes?

We want you to be entirely happy with your website homepage and internal page designs. We will not move to the next stage of the process (coding) until we get your approval on the designs. This means that we will consider all requests until you are entirely satisfied with the design before moving to the next step.

Important note! Changes to the structure of the site and overall look and feel after approval are strongly discouraged. However, adding content and images will be possible further down the design journey. Any structural or design changes after the approval of the homepage or internal page will incur a minimum cost of £220 per change (2 hours fee). Please ensure you take your time to approve the designs to your satisfaction to avoid any delays and unwanted additional costs on your project.

This is a critical step, and we meticulously plan the migration to ensure all old pages connect to their corresponding new ones. Our process includes setting up 301 redirects and notifying Google about your updated sitemap, so your SEO efforts remain intact.

Who owns my new website?

You do! The website is entirely yours. We build using PHP/HTML, avoiding any reliance on proprietary systems. Transparency and portability are key—unlike some other companies, we ensure you have complete access without hidden obstacles or restrictions.

If I switch to another website design company in the future, can I take my website with me?

Of course! If you choose to work with a different design company later, your website is fully portable. Since we use PHP/HTML with no dependency on proprietary platforms, there are no surprise costs, and we’ll assist with the transition if needed.

Once the website is completed, how can I make minor updates or changes?

Most updates will likely involve changes like fees, team members, or treatments. You can make these adjustments through the content management system (CMS), which is user-friendly, and we’ll provide training after the site launch.

We don’t lock clients into maintenance contracts, as it doesn’t align with our values.

Can you make changes to a website that wasn’t designed by Digimax?

Typically, we don’t update websites created by other companies. Different coding styles can lead to unexpected results, taking more time than anticipated and potentially impacting client satisfaction.

Do you back up my website?

If your website is hosted on our server, we provide incremental cloud backups, allowing us to restore your site to a recent version in rare disaster recovery situations.

Can I see how many people visited my website, along with other statistics?

Yes! By registering for Google Analytics and sharing the tracking code with us, we’ll integrate it into your website. This will enable you to view detailed visitor data, including the number of visits, specific days or hours, and their locations.

Can you prevent people from copying photographs on my website?

We can add a code that disables right-clicking to save images. However, determined individuals can still bypass this by taking screenshots. We recommend watermarking your images, and we can assist by providing a Photoshop template for this. Alternatively, there are mobile apps that can help with watermarking as well.

Do you integrate with online booking systems?

Yes, we can integrate with systems like SOE or Dentally. If you use a different booking platform that offers website integration, we’ll explore integrating it for you as well.

A content management system allows you to manage your website's content independently, without additional costs or delays. We provide training to ensure you’re comfortable using it. We integrate a custom WordPress backend, giving you full control over your website's content.

What are the benefits of a content management system (CMS)? Is it user-friendly?

If you can use email, you can use this content management system. It’s designed to be intuitive and straightforward. We provide screen-share training sessions to help your team learn how to maintain the website with ease. This option is highly popular because it allows you to keep your website updated as often as needed, ensuring your digital presence is always current. The system also supports blogging without needing our assistance, reducing ongoing maintenance costs for basic updates.

Will I have full access to update prices, treatments, news, etc., using the CMS?

Yes, the CMS gives you full control over these elements of your website. It allows you to make updates quickly without incurring maintenance costs.

Do you design logos?

Yes, we can assist with logo design.

We offer a comprehensive branding package that includes logo and identity design, digital logo formats, and designs for appointment cards, business cards, letterheads, and compliment slips. This package is priced at £1,750 + VAT.

While we don’t offer a naming service, we can provide guidance. Before selecting a name, it’s essential to define your practice’s vision and brand voice. Think about what your practice represents, how it aligns with your core values, and how patients should feel when interacting with your brand.

We recommend going through a brand discovery process to clarify your practice’s identity. Establishing a clear vision will help guide all future decisions and ensure your branding aligns with your goals. Do you provide photographs?

Yes, our packages include access to premium royalty-free stock images for your website.

However, for practice-specific images, we recommend hiring a local photographer. Most experienced photographers charge around £250-£350 for an afternoon session. We also have a guide to help photographers capture the best images of your practice.

Additionally, we collaborate with a 3D tour company that offers virtual walkthroughs of your practice for approximately £150 for Digimax clients.

Do you recommend a professional photographer?

Do you provide videos?

Yes, as a Digimax client, you’ll have access to our library of 3D treatment animation videos, which can be used on your website at no additional cost.

Can you set up email addresses?

Can we add a “shop” feature to the website?

Adding e-commerce functionality involves multiple components, including payment integration, delivery zones, receipts, and notifications. For a cost-effective option, we suggest starting with Shopify, which offers plans starting at $29 per month. We can link your site’s shop button to the Shopify page.

In the future, we could integrate the shop directly into your website using plugins like WP Shopify. Third-party e-commerce platforms often provide ongoing feature updates to enhance user experience.

Are there any website features not included?

Some requests fall outside the scope of standard coding and may require specialised expertise. These include:

Live chat allows your team to interact with website visitors in real-time. We recommend using Crisp Chat, which enables your team to respond via a desktop or smartphone app. Pre-made responses can also speed up communication. If no one is available to respond immediately, visitors can leave their email addresses for follow-up.

Do you use any templates?

All our websites are fully bespoke, using technology that is easily portable in the future. We never ever use templates.

Do you have a consent form for obtaining patient permission to use their photos on the website?

Unfortunately, we don’t provide one. However, you can search online for a “Model Release Form” to see if it meets your needs, or check with any practice you’re associated with for assistance.

What do you charge for making minor changes to an existing website?

We don’t offer amendment services for websites we didn’t design.

Will my project be added to the Digimax portfolio, or will your company name appear in my website’s footer?

We take on only five clients per month to ensure we deliver exceptional work, which serves as advertising for our future projects. Removing our name from the website undermines this purpose and is therefore non-negotiable. Our work is a key part of our marketing strategy.
